ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

  • Strong knowledge of network, cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS), and information security management.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage a diverse IT team and guide them toward the department’s goals.
  • Capability to build relationships and influence cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and decision-makers.
  • Strong understanding of information security principles, including risk assessment, incident response, and vulnerability management.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, including encryption, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and anti-virus software.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of IT leadership experience, with expertise in infrastructure, information security, and cloud platforms.
  • Proven success in managing IT operations in scaling organizations and leading complex technical projects.
  • Experience with M&A technical integration, new site builds, and onboarding of new clinics.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and vendor negotiation skills.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Vice President of Information Technology & Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at IVX Health, you’ll be at the helm of our IT department, ensuring that our technology infrastructure is secure, scalable, and aligned with the company’s strategic goals. You’ll oversee all aspects of IT operations, from managing our cloud environments and cybersecurity initiatives to integrating new technologies during mergers and acquisitions. This role is critical to our ongoing expansion and will lead projects that directly impact the success of our growing nationwide network of infusion centers.
You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders across the organization to deliver cost-effective technology solutions that enhance our mission-critical operations. Whether it’s launching new centers, safeguarding our systems, or driving digital transformation, you’ll ensure IVX Health remains on the leading edge of healthcare technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operational Management
  • Oversee day-to-day IT operations, including network management, infrastructure, help desk support, hardware procurement, and information security. Act as the primary escalation point for critical IT issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Ensure the effective delivery of end-user services, including technical support that meets organizational service level needs.
  • Manage the security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection, encryption, and antivirus programs, to protect company assets and data.
  • Manage contracts with and oversee third-party security resources and platforms to maintain a leading edge in information security practices.
  • Authorize and oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and support of IT systems and hardware across the company based on department needs.
  • Ensure all new clinic locations are brought online according to launch timelines, providing necessary IT infrastructure and support.
  • Lead M&A technical integrations, ensuring seamless alignment of end-user systems, networks, security protocols, corporate SaaS platforms, and key business integrations.
  • Re-engineer application support as necessary to align IT services with business needs, tactical planning, and long-term strategy.
  • Manage vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts to ensure alignment with IT and organizational objectives.
  • Maintain regular communication with executives, department heads, and end users about IT activities, developments, and requirements.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Data teams on managing cloud environments, optimizing data warehousing solutions, and advancing core platform capabilities.
  • Work with Legal and Compliance to address third-party technical and security requirements for key stakeholders, including payors and pharmaceutical partners.
  • Strategy and Planning
  • Oversee the operational and strategic planning of the IT department, focusing on business requirements, project prioritization, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and implement long-term strategies for optimizing IT operations and investing in efficient, cost-effective technologies.
  • Lead information security planning efforts, prioritizing defense initiatives, and managing current and future security technologies using a risk-based approach.
  • Design, implement, and review disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure resilience in IT operations.
  • Develop, review, and manage budgets for IT divisions, ensuring alignment with business goals and organizational objectives.
  • Monitor IT systems performance, making recommendations for upgrades, productivity improvements, and cost reductions.
  • Lead research and evaluation of potential technology solutions that support new business opportunities and procurement efforts.
  • Conduct cost/benefit analyses and make business case justifications for IT spending, including bidding for hardware and software upgrades.
  • Benchmark and analyze IT infrastructure performance, making recommendations for continuous improvement and system enhancements.
