About the role SurePay is the EU market leader in Account Verification (VOP, CoP), widely considered the standard in the industry. With over 200 banking customers, including 23 of the top 50 banks in Europe, and over 800 corporate customers in the Netherlands, we are transitioning from a service provider to a Platform for Actionable Insight, introducing new, high-value products. We are seeking an exceptional marketing leader to elevate our brand and establish a world-class marketing function to match our market position and ambitious expansion plans into the EU and US. We are looking for a VP of Marketing to be a strategic partner, working closely with the CRO and Sales teams, to develop and implement the overall marketing strategy for the next five years. You will be responsible for transforming SurePay's brand and marketing operations to reflect our market leadership and position us as a strategic partner for our blue-chip clients. The primary focus will be on Tier 1 Banking and Enterprise customers across multiple regions, heavily leveraging Account-Based Marketing (ABM) and building out Channel Marketing capabilities. Key responsibilities include: Brand & Content Leadership (Catching Up to Market Position) Brand Strategy: Create a comprehensive, forward-looking brand strategy that accurately represents SurePay's position as the market standard and future platform, positioning us as a high-value brand. Brand Communications: Overhaul brand communications, PR, and the corporate website presence to ensure consistency and a professional image that aligns with our executive reputation. Content Strategy: Define and lead the creation of a Content Leadership strategy, ensuring SurePay is viewed as the authoritative voice in account verification, fraud reduction, and actionable insight. Strategic Planning & Demand Generation (Driving Growth) Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute the overall marketing strategy, encompassing brand awareness, demand generation, and sales growth, with a clear focus on Tier 1 Banking and Enterprise customers. ABM and Channel: Strategically plan and execute high-impact Account-Based Marketing (ABM) programs targeting enterprise customers. Establish and scale a Channel Marketing function to support new market entry. Operational Excellence: Implement a professional marketing calendar and define clear processes, including a firm definition of a Marketing Qualified Lead (MQL), to drive accountability and clear visibility on results. Presentation & Collateral: Partner closely with Sales, Partnerships, and CSM teams to ensure high-quality, consistent content, presentations, and sales decks are delivered to the market. Leadership & Structure: Lead, motivate, and mentor the existing marketing team to professionalize the department. About you This is an exciting opportunity for a marketing leader looking to work in a scaling environment and make a direct impact. We believe the successful candidate has: 10+ years of progressive experience in marketing roles, within the SaaS/FinTech sectors. Solid experience leading overall marketing strategy, including Brand, PR and Demand Generation focussing on large banks and enterprise corporate sales targets, in multiple regions Experience in building and scaling a marketing function from scratch or during a hyper-growth phase. Leadership: Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a diverse team, driving a collaborative and high-performance culture. Strategic Planning and Execution: Exceptional ability to think strategically, develop robust, long-term marketing plans, and oversee their meticulous execution. Business Acumen: A creative and entrepreneurial mindset focused on developing innovative marketing strategies that directly drive revenue growth and commercial success Collaboration: Proven ability to work cross-functionally and seamlessly with Sales, Product, and executive teams to achieve joint commercial goals.
