About This Job
Axos Bank is seeking a deeply technical and strategic VP, MarTech & Salesforce System Architect to serve as the principal architect and owner of our Salesforce marketing ecosystem. This role is critical for delivering scalable, data-driven systems that power hyper-personalized B2C experiences in a mobile app first ecosystem, B2B lead generation, and sales enablement across all stages and lifecycles.
This position is ideal for a hands-on solutions architect or systems engineer who excels at translating business requirements into technical solutions. You will be responsible for the technical strategy, implementation, and operational excellence of our MarTech stack, with a primary focus on Salesforce CRM (Sales Cloud), Marketing Cloud (SFMC), Data Cloud, and Marketing Cloud Intelligence (MCI), Extole, Branch, Stensul and more. Your work will directly impact revenue through campaign velocity, personalization capabilities, sales process automation, and executive-level visibility into the sales pipeline.
This is a technical leadership role and will be one the key stakeholders accountable for campaign or content strategy success – and our impact on business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect and Own the MarTech Ecosystem: Serve as the lead technical owner for the full Salesforce MarTech ecosystem and integrated. Design and evolve a unified customer data architecture to support scalable, real-time, and personalized communications.
  • Salesforce Platform Development & Administration: Lead the hands-on configuration, administration, and development within SFMC, Data Cloud, Personalization, MCI and more. This includes building and managing Data Extensions, engineering journeys in Journey Builder, writing advanced AMPscript and SSJS, and configuring Automation Studio workflows.
  • B2B MarTech & Sales Funnel Architecture: Design and implement the technical framework to support the end-to-end B2B lead lifecycle. Architect automated lead capture, scoring, nurturing, and routing processes. Build the foundational systems to report on lead flow, conversion, and revenue attribution across the marketing-to-sales funnel.
  • Hyper-Personalization & Mobile Engagement: Architect technical solutions that drive hyper-personalization across all digital touchpoints, with a specific focus on our financial mobile app platforms. Ensure systems can effectively leverage real-time, behavior-driven data to create individualized customer experiences.
  • Pipeline Analytics & Management Reporting: Develop and manage a robust reporting framework using Salesforce Marketing Cloud Intelligence (MCI). Create dashboards and analytics to monitor the MQL-to-SQL conversion funnel, track marketing’s impact on the sales pipeline, and deliver clear, actionable insights to management.
  • Data Integration and Modeling: Architect and manage data flows between Salesforce platforms, cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery), and third-party systems. Design and implement robust data models and segmentation logic to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and actionable.
  • System Monitoring and Optimization: Establish and oversee processes for monitoring system health, performance, and data integrity. Proactively identify and resolve technical issues, troubleshoot complex platform challenges, and implement optimizations to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Governance and Best Practices: Develop and enforce technical standards, governance protocols, and best practices for platform usage, data management, and security (CAN-SPAM, CCPA, GDPR). Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Team Leadership and Mentorship: Build and lead a high-performing MarTech team comprised of stateside and offshore resources. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities to foster a culture of technical excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in a technical MarTech, systems engineering, or solutions architecture role, with at least 4 years in a leadership capacity focused on the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Expert-level, hands-on proficiency with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Personalization, and Marketing Cloud Intelligence (MCI).

Axos Employee Benefits May Include:

  • Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance
  • Paid Sick Leave, 3 weeks’ Vacation, and Holidays (about 11 a year)
  • HSA or FSA account and other voluntary benefits
  • 401(k) Retirement Saving Plan with Employer Match Program and 529 Savings Plan
  • Employee Mortgage Loan Program and free access to an Axos Bank Account with Self-Directed Trading
