VP OF AUDIO

Oversees development, implementation, and delivery of innovative audio solutions that meet our business and clients’ needs.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven leadership experience including excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of Union rules, guidelines and jurisdictions in related fields.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Working with HR to obtain a thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Advanced expertise in audio system design including prediction programs, CAD and related design software.
  • A college degree in a related field or in-depth industry and job specific technical skills acquired through combination of formal instruction and on-the-job training.
  • At least 5 years of management experience is preferred.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Likely periodic travel to various warehouses and show sites required.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.

Responsibilities

Work with Executive Management, the National Operations Team, and Audio department.

  • Manage the capital expenditure process for audio equipment including evaluating new equipment, negotiating pricing and payment terms, and scheduling delivery of said equipment.
  • Own technical delivery of essential programs and processes, overseeing every stage from planning through implementation, ensuring the alignment of technical solutions with business objectives.
  • Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the audio team, cultivating an environment that nurtures professional growth, skill development, and effective project execution.
  • Liaise with Operations, Sales, Project Management, Labor Crewing, and Accounting to analyze, refine, and optimize workflows, aiming to create more efficient processes that streamline and enhance overall productivity across the organization.
  • Work with the Sales, Project Management Teams and clients on the technical design of their events, including speaker coverage predictions and CAD integration, intercom solutions and RF deployments.
  • Work with labor department to ensure the proper crewing of events.
  • Work with the President, and occasionally others, on our most highly sophisticated and technically challenging projects, offering expertise and strategic input to ensure successful execution and delivery of these high-priority initiatives.
  • Actively engage in optimizing and enhancing the asset maintenance in R2.
  • Work closely with the Sales and Project Management teams to develop budgets for audio services.
  • Work closely with the Sales Team to identify opportunities for enhancing the client experience and business outcomes, fostering a stronger alignment between engineering efforts, customer needs, and revenue generation.
  • Utilize market insights to strategically guide and lead the implementation of innovative, cutting-edge processes and solutions, ensuring they meet evolving market demands and continue to position CT as a market thought leader.
