QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience in construction.
  • At least 10 years in residential construction, including purchasing and warranty management.
  • Must obtain a General Contractor’s license within 6 months of employment.
  • Strong organizational abilities with effective prioritization skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of local building codes, OSHA regulations, and purchasing best practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel; familiarity with Build-Pro/Supply-Pro and JDE Edwards is a plus.

ROLE OVERVIEW

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Value Engineering: Design and implement innovative construction techniques and cost-saving measures.
  • Standardization: Collaborate with division leaders to establish construction standards and specifications.
  • Partnership Development: Foster relationships with trades to ensure top-quality work.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate with suppliers and contractors to secure the best pricing and value.
  • Warranty Oversight: Manage warranty service requests, ensuring timely responses and high-quality workmanship.
  • Budget Management: Monitor and manage building budgets, work schedules, and labor forecasts for optimal performance.
  • Market Insights: Analyze market trends to identify growth opportunities.
  • Vendor Relations: Develop and strengthen relationships with new vendors to enhance supply chain effectiveness.
