Generation Tux is seeking an experienced Business Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in all aspects of data analytics, including mining, generation, and visualization. Additionally, this person should be committed to transforming data into readable, goal-oriented reports that drive innovation and growth. Generation Tux is an online tuxedo and suit rental platform founded by menswear legend, George Zimmer. Geroge created the company in 2014 to provide high-quality tuxedo and suit rentals, competitively priced, and in the most convenient way possible - shipped directly to your door.
The VP of Data & Analytics will serve as a strategic partner to the executive team and lead the vision, development, and execution of our company-wide data reporting strategy. This person will oversee all data-related functions—analytics, governance, and strategy—and will be responsible for building a world-class data organization that fuels innovation and business performance.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in analytics and data strategy and operations, with 4+ years in a senior leadership capacity
  • Deep knowledge of data architecture, business intelligence, analytics tooling, and governance frameworks
  • Demonstrated success in scaling data teams and systems in high-growth, tech-enabled, startup-minded environments
  • Executive presence and ability to influence and drive alignment at the C-suite level
  • Strong financial and business acumen with the ability to tie analytics to P&L impact
  • Advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business, or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Travel up to 10% for team collaboration, leadership offsites, or strategic planning sessions as neede
Responsibilities
  • Define and drive the enterprise data vision, ensuring data is leveraged as a strategic asset across the organization
  • Partner with the CEO, CFO, and other C-level leaders to shape strategy through data-driven insights and forecasting to enhance Generation Tux’s ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Build and lead a high-performing data organization, including analytics, data science, engineering, and governance teams
  • Oversee data infrastructure development and modernization, enabling scalability, automation, and real-time insights
  • Establish frameworks for experimentation, predictive modeling, and advanced analytics to optimize key business functions
  • Champion a culture of data literacy, self-service, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Establish and govern data management frameworks and policies, including data quality standards, lineage, stewardship, and compliance protocols
  • Develop and execute a self-service analytics strategy, enabling democratized data access while maintaining centralized standards
  • Evaluate and implement cutting-edge data platforms, technologies, and vendor solutions
