Description Job Summary Overview The Vice President of Employee Services is a senior leader responsible for the strategic direction and operational excellence of the employee experience across the organization. This role oversees core human resources functions including onboarding, employee relations, benefits, compensation, payroll, HR operations, and regulatory compliance. The Vice President partners closely with executive leadership to align people strategies with organizational objectives, foster a culture grounded in trust and service excellence, and drive continuous improvement across all employee services. Essential Job Functions Develop and execute a comprehensive Employee Services strategy that supports organizational growth, culture, and operational excellence. Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on workforce trends, employee engagement, organizational health, and people-related risks. Lead initiatives that enhance the employee experience, improve service delivery, and streamline HR processes through continuous improvement. Foster a balanced, “mutual benefit” approach that aligns business needs with employee wellbeing and engagement. Oversee employee relations programs to ensure fair, consistent, and legally compliant practices across the organization. Partner with leaders to cultivate a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture. Collaborate with Employee Engagement to monitor engagement trends and implement initiatives that support retention, wellbeing, and belonging. Lead HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, HRIS administration, and employee support services. Ensure efficient, accurate, and employee-centered HR processes across all points of the employee lifecycle. Drive innovation and continuous improvement through technology, automation, and service-centered design. Oversee the administration of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring market competitiveness and alignment with organizational philosophy. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Employee Services team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth. Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility across all Employee Services policies, programs, and practices. Partner with Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and Employee Engagement to ensure a seamless and integrated employee lifecycle. Represent Employee Services in enterprise-wide initiatives, strategic planning efforts, and cross-functional leadership forums. Establish, implement, and maintain human resources objectives, policies, and programs aligned with organizational strategy and values. Ensure compliance with Credit Union policies and all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Develop and maintain personnel programs that support the organization’s goal of being an employer of choice. Provide day-to-day leadership and support to the Employee Services team. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Requirements Position Required Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Seven (7) or more years of progressive experience in human resources, including a minimum of five (5) years in a leadership or people-management role. Demonstrated experience leading HR teams and overseeing core HR functions such as employee relations, compliance, compensation, benefits, and HR operations. Current HR professional certification required (e.g., SHRM-CP, , PHR, , or equivalent). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Comprehensive knowledge of human resources laws, regulations, principles, practices, and procedures. Ability to effectively partner with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization, including conducting investigations, advising leadership, and advocating for fair and consistent employee practices. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and professionally. Proficiency with HR systems and standard business software applications (e.g., HRIS platforms, Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel). Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, exercise sound judgment, and handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Licenses, Training, and Certifications Required None. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR). Experience in a regulated industry such as financial services or credit unions. Hybrid Work Environment and Physical Demands The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger keys accurately when using calculator machines or computer keyboards.
