QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required; MBA or Master’s in Finance preferred.
  • CPA or equivalent financial certification strongly preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in nonprofit financial management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or executive role.
  • Proven experience overseeing complex budgets (including multi-million-dollar budgets) and managing restricted funds and government grants.
  • Experience with nonprofit accounting standards (e.g., GAAP for nonprofits, OMB Uniform Guidance for federal awards).
  • Demonstrated success leading or working closely with Human Resources, IT, and/or Facilities is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience working with or supporting a Finance Committee or Board of Directors.
  • Experience using FundEz, ADP, and Excel.

  • Technological Proficiency
  • Familiarity with financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or Abila MIP), Excel modeling, and HRIS or ERP systems.
  • Open to using technology to increase efficiency, data integrity, and transparency.
