A great UHY client is seeking a VP of Finance- Family Office to join their team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience in public accounting, experience with full accounting life cycle with a multi- entity organization and proficient with QuickBooks.
The VP of Finance- Family Office role is an onsite position. This is a client direct hire position.
VP of Finance- Family Office Job Description
- Finalize the company’s books and prepare quarterly financial statements for both internal and bank review.
- Provide strategic financial analysis and recommendations to executives on a regular basis.
- Evaluate the financial performance and profitability of company divisions (Wood Shop, Trim, Excavation, Tile, Siding) as well as project-specific profitability.
- Continuously update and analyze divisional direct labor and overhead costs, ensuring accurate capitalization.
- Develop and manage the annual budget, including sales projections, and monitor performance throughout the year.
- Oversee all tax and regulatory compliance in collaboration with an external accounting firm, including:
- Monthly sales and use tax filings.
- Quarterly tax estimate payments.
- Timely filing of federal and state business tax returns, as well as individual tax returns for company owners.
- Collection of vendor W-9 forms for annual 1099 processing.
- Prepare documentation for annual insurance renewals and audits, including the collection of subcontractor liability insurance certificates.
- Manage customer draws, coordinating with banks and homeowners as needed.
- Oversee daily cash management, including monitoring checking account balances and managing internal transfers.
- Support banking relationships and assist with loan communications.
VP OF FINANCE- FAMILY OFFICE QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 4–5+ years in public accounting; experience with full-cycle accounting in a multi-entity environment
- CPA preferred
- Strong proficiency in Excel; experience with tax strategy is a plus
- High energy, team-oriented professional eager to contribute as part of the executive leadership team
