Position: VP of Marketing Interplay Learning is in a pivotal phase of growth following the acquisition of ITI. We’re unifying two brands, expanding into industrial markets, and rebuilding a modern, predictable revenue engine. Marketing serves as a growth driver that delivers pipeline efficiency, brand clarity, and thought leadership in an AI-driven landscape. The VP of Marketing reports to the CEO and is the functional leader of a 14-person marketing organization with three Director-level reports. This role owns full-funnel marketing across Demand Generation, Product Marketing, Customer & Partner Marketing and Brand. Please note, we are looking for 3+ years experience owning the entire marketing function for a B2B SaaS company. Industry experience that relates to our product and industries served is highly preferred. Deliver predictable growth: Drive efficient pipeline generation and revenue impact across Commercial, Industrial, and Public sectors. Align with Sales: Rebuild the demand engine with unified lead definitions, shared dashboards, and consistent performance rhythms. Own full-funnel performance: Connect awareness, acquisition, and expansion programs to measurable business outcomes. Evolve the brand: Strengthen and clarify the Interplay narrative to support our “Play Bigger” category leadership strategy. Modernize operations: Partner with Revenue Operations to optimize data, systems, and reporting — integrating AI-driven insights and automation for smarter, scalable execution. Build and empower the team: Mentor a high-performing group of marketers and leaders who thrive on accountability, creativity, and collaboration. Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with Sales, Product, Customer Success, Growth, and Finance to align budgets, forecasts, and GTM execution. Who You Are: Revenue-Driven Thinker: Treats marketing as a business function, owning the number and driving measurable pipeline accountability. Demand Generation Leader: A data-driven operator who takes a results-oriented approach to marketing activities. Works with marketing, sales and growth to build a demand gen engine. AI-Forward Innovator: Leverages technology and automation to unlock creativity, scale, and smarter decision-making. Strategic Communicator: Distills complexity into clarity, aligning executives and teams around shared goals. Collaborative Integrator: Builds bridges across functions with transparency and shared metrics. Team Builder & Coach: Attracts, develops, and empowers top marketing talent. Brand & Category Architect: Balances performance marketing with long-term brand storytelling and category design. Requirements: 7+ years in B2B SaaS marketing, including 3+ years as Head of Marketing or owning the marketing function (regardless of title), ideally for companies in the $20M–$150M ARR range. Proven success owning pipeline and marketing-sourced revenue targets. Track record of building or rebuilding a high functioning team including hiring/coaching sr. leaders. Demonstrated cross-functional leadership with Sales, RevOps, and Product Pay/Compensation: $210,000–$270,000 base salary + equity.
