Description
About the role SchoolAI’s mission is to make school awesome for students – and the people who support them – by finding out what they need and making it happen. Our product is used by hundreds of thousands of educators and students every week. We have the opportunity to work at the frontier of how education will become even more personalized, insightful, and impactful. We work closely with educators to craft products that have the potential to change the lives of students. We’re hiring our first head of product management. You will help us grow and mature the product management function with an eye on building, creating, learning, and systems thinking. This position a full-time position, based in Lehi, Utah. You’ll report directly to the Chief Experience Officer. What you’ll do at SchoolAI Partner with design, engineering, research, and GTM leadership to define strategy, clarify priorities, and craft a long term vision for the SchoolAI product portfolio. You’ll define and steward the systems we use to experiment and deliver delightful products to customers. Drive a culture of rapid learning, curiosity, outcome-oriented thinking. Be responsible for products that are safe, ethical, and responsible. You’ll Thrive If You… Are a systems thinker who designs feedback loops, rather than linear processes. Optimize learning velocity more than delivery optics. Coach PMs to be judgment shapers, not backlog shepherds. Are fluent in PLG and platform ecosystems; edtech/AI experience is a plus. What Success Looks Like (6–12 months) Every product manager and squad has a shared “flight deck” that tracks Conversion/Activation/Retention/Evaluation and informs decisions weekly. The org habitually makes as many small, high-quality decisions as possible; learning cycles shorten; retention curves and activation cohorts improve with direct attribution to experiments. Teams feel trusted, protected, and connected to impact.
Responsibilities
You will partner with design, engineering, research, and GTM leadership to define strategy and craft a long-term vision for the product portfolio. You will also drive a culture of rapid learning and ensure products are safe, ethical, and responsible.
