Description The Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management – Respiratory will lead all revenue cycle operations for PromptCare’s complex respiratory division. This role is responsible for optimizing team performance, implementing robust metrics and reporting systems, and ensuring consistency and compliance across revenue cycle policies and procedures. The VP will play a key role in improving Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), accounts receivable aging, and developing strategic payor relationships. Budget management and variance analysis are also essential components of this role. Reports to: President of Respiratory Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt Location: King of Prussia, PA Requirements 20+ years of progressive experience in revenue cycle management, preferably within DME/HME environments with revenues exceeding $200M Experience managing front-end processes (e.g., intake) to improve downstream revenue cycle outcomes Proven track record in improving key metrics such as denial rates, collections, and bad debt Expertise in process redesign and technology implementation; Lean Six Sigma or similar certification preferred Strong leadership presence with a collaborative, high-energy approach Proficiency in budget management and variance analysis Excellent communication and cross-functional engagement skills Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to: Align revenue cycle operations with the company’s strategic goals, driving innovation and performance improvement Serve as a key decision-maker to address shifting priorities, meet cash and receivables targets, and manage budget requirements Ensure revenue cycle processes operate at peak efficiency; lead change and consolidation initiatives to streamline operations Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and improve departmental performance Conduct root-cause analysis and operational reviews focused on denials, patient acceptance rates, and collection outcomes Lead monthly performance reviews to educate staff and align goals Oversee maintenance of pricing tables to ensure accurate revenue recording Enforce internal revenue cycle policies and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations Drive operational rigor by adopting industry best practices and standardizing workflows, including technology implementation Collaborate with HR to determine optimal staffing ratios for billing and collections Engage regularly with executive leadership and department heads to align operational priorities Provide leadership during mergers and acquisitions, ensuring seamless integration of revenue cycle functions Develop and execute strategies for billing, payment collection, and accounts receivable management Ensure HIPAA compliance across all revenue cycle activities Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party payors and external partners Serve as liaison for internal and external audits Manage relationships with vendors, collection agencies, and audit firms Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement to support patient care, growth, and profitability Physical Demands The physical requirements listed here indicate what an employee must meet to effectively perform this role's essential functions.
