As a VP of Sales you will have the opportunity to lead our commercial strategy across the furniture, bedding, retail and ecommerce product segments. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by driving revenue growth, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding market share in products including toppers, pillows, and boxed mattresses. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in the bedding industry or consumer discretionary products for the home, big box retail, ecommerce, and a proven track record of building high-performing sales organizations. The team you will be working with is collaborative and innovative, and values challenging work and diversity of thought.
The ideal candidate would reside in one of these locations, Atlanta, GA; Kansas City, Springfield, MO; Bentonville, AR.

Responsibilities

SO, WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING AS A VP OF SALES?

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy across furniture, bedding, and retail foam categories
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a national sales team to exceed revenue and profitability goals
  • Work with finance and operations teams to refine pricing models and optimize gross margins across product categories.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with major retailers, including big box stores and key distribution partners
  • Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to align customer insights with innovation initiatives and marketing plans.
  • Forecast sales performance and manage budgets to ensure financial targets are met
  • Implement tools, training programs, and resources to support the sales team’s success, staying ahead of market trends and customer demands
  • Oversee adoption and effectiveness of CRM and sales automation platforms, driving productivity and accountability.
  • Foster a high-performance culture that attracts top sales talent and promotes career development within the organization.
  • Represent Elite Comfort Solutions at industry events, trade shows, and executive-level meetings
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities and mitigate risks
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL NEED:

  • 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in the bedding industry or consumer discretionary.
  • Deep knowledge of big box retail dynamics and buyer expectations
  • Track record of driving online revenue growth through DTC or marketplace channels.
  • Proven ability to scale sales operations and drive double-digit growth
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead with data-driven decision-making and long-term strategic vision
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Ability to travel 20-60% of the time with overnight stays as needed.
