HiveMQ’s Vision for this role In this position, you’ll report into the Chief People Officer, and your role will be to lead and develop our People Operations, Talent, and Culture teams. Your goal is to make HiveMQ a place where great people do their best work — by building scalable, efficient people systems and ensuring a consistent, engaging employee experience. You’ll turn our people strategy into action, lead a small but high-performing team, and make sure we’re using AI and data smartly across everything we do. This is a hands-on leadership role, balancing strategy, team leadership, and operational excellence. What you’ll do You’ll lead a team covering People Operations, Talent Acquisition, and Employee Experience. Together, you will: Deliver and continuously improve people processes, systems, and policies across the full employee lifecycle.Lead and develop the People team, setting clear priorities and supporting growth. Partner with leaders on organization design, performance, and talent planning. Oversee hiring, onboarding, engagement, and offboarding to ensure a seamless global employee experience. Own and evolve compensation, benefits, and HR systems (Personio) for fairness, accuracy, and scalability. Drive people programs like performance cycles, compensation reviews, and engagement surveys.Use data and AI to improve people operations, decision-making, and team efficiency. Support culture, events, and connection across our distributed team. Ensure compliance across regions in close collaboration with Finance and Legal. What we are looking for: Experience leading People or Talent teams in a fast-growing tech start-up or scale-up environment. Strong people leadership skills and the ability to develop and motivate a team. Solid understanding of HR operations, employment law (Europe/US), and global people practices. Data-driven mindset with experience using metrics and AI tools to optimize workflows. Skilled communicator and trusted partner to managers and leaders. Hands-on and pragmatic, happy to balance strategic priorities with day-to-day delivery.
