WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Clever Digital Marketing is entering its next stage of growth — and we need a VP of Performance Marketing who can lead us there. This role will own the strategy, structure, and outcomes across both paid channels (Search & Social), with a mandate to drive efficiency, integration, and measurable client success. Reporting to the COO, this leader will oversee a team of directors across Paid Search, Paid Social and Conversion Rate Optimization. We are looking for world-class executional discipline, strong operational thinking, and a clear track record of building high-performing, scalable teams in an agency.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Own the paid media performance marketing strategy, with an emphasis on building scalable growth strategies via Paid Search, Paid Social, and other channels.
  • Lead quarterly and annual planning cycles for media strategy, department priorities, and performance forecasting in collaboration with the executive team.
  • Well-versed with Google, Meta and Microsoft advertising.
  • Architect the organizational structure of the Paid Media teams — implement clear team hierarchies, responsibilities, and communication cadences.
  • Identify and champion new growth levers, tools, platforms, and strategic initiatives that improve lead quality and drive MRR expansion.
  • Build or improve scalable SOPs, QA systems, Marketing Playbooks and decision-making processes that allow teams to execute with clarity and autonomy.
  • Ensure succession planning and leadership pipeline development within and across departments.
  • Work with data and analytics to track, forecast, and report on performance across channels and client portfolios.
  • Create operational systems that tightly integrate Paid Media and Client Services, eliminating silos and aligning on shared goals and client outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations to improve internal tooling, project management, and systems that support execution.
  • Build a high-performance team through ascension systems & growth tactics
  • Lead with clarity, speed, and accountability, ensuring your team meets objectives and develops professionally in the process.
  • Contribute to executive leadership meetings, org-wide decision-making, and shaping the future of Clever as a top-tier performance marketing company.
