Position Summary The Vice President of Engineering will manage a dispersed team of Electrical, Manufacturing and Controls Engineers and will collaborate with peers on the operations team, especially EHS, Continuous Improvement and Plant leaders to improve plant safety, OEE, and product quality. The Vice President of Engineering will be responsible for designing and implementing processes to manufacturer new and revised products in partnership with the Research and Development and Commercial teams.  Duties and Responsibilities * Lead and oversee all aspects of the engineering department, including staff, designs, and projects, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment * Report directly to Chief Operating Officer and provide strategic insights and recommendations to drive company and manufacturing objectives * Define Engineering policies and procedures ensuring best practices are implemented and shared at all sites * Lead the Engineering team to develop efficient systems, processes, and machines that result in high-quality products * Effectively communicate complex technical concepts verbally and in writing * Prepare and manage the annual budget for engineering, including capital expenditures to meet or exceed annual budgetary and prior year expenses * Handle diverse personalities and skill sets within the team, fostering a culture of inclusivity, respect, and innovation Essential Qualifications * Prior engineering leadership experience in a manufacturing environment * Be a strategic problem solver  * Experience and success managing complex multi-faceted projects and implementations  * Strong analytical ability, good organization skills, and excellent time management skills. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills will be important. * Ability to build trustworthy relationships with business partners and peers * Continuously seek opportunities to enhance knowledge and processes * Solid foundation in manufacturing design * Travel will be required 50% of the time to company and/or manufacturing locations. Education and Experience * Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering * Minimum of fifteen years’ experience in an engineering role with ten years of people leadership in a distributed manufacturing organization Language Skills * Ability to read, write, and speak English, bilingual in Spanish preferred.   Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
