What you do: As an executive leader within Enterprise Operations, this position is responsible for the oversight, leading and scaling of Policyholder Services, Disbursements, and Claims. The role involves leading and executing key business priorities, setting and achieving performance targets, and ensuring an exceptional experience for policyholders and producers. The VP is expected to set ambitious goals, rigorously pursue results, and foster a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement. The executive is accountable for overseeing customer service delivery for individual Annuity and Life products, from post-issue to payout, and adjudicating death claims across all active and legacy business blocks. Additionally, the position manages, while fostering and enhancing relationships with strategic partners to ensure reliability and performance. Furthermore, the role holds accountability for Inforce Operations Controls and Client Communications, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence. First 12 to 24 Months Goals: Employee Experience: Achieve a data-driven culture, leveraging advanced analytics and AI agents to generate actionable insights for leading operations Customer Experience: Evolve customer experience and partner with change agents and teams to reduce end-to-end cycle times by 20% Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI) Establishes a customer-centric environment and builds successful customer relationships Demonstrates responsiveness by proactively gathering input and feedback from customers Drives continuous process improvements to deliver and maintain a high-quality end-to-end customer service experience and achieve overall customer satisfaction targets Stay aligned to industry and distributor trends and drive change to ensure AZ Life is proactively positioned among peer group Own key performance indicators (KPIs) – examples include financial customer, speed and accuracy – and ensures benchmarks, service standards and quality standards are in place and consistent with the strategic goals of the company Deliver strategic enterprise-wide initiatives while maintaining service standards and quality standards Monitors project, process and/or department performance Establishes strong and successful working relationship with peers, key business partners, and vendors to deliver a high-quality end-to-end customer experience aligned with the service strategy and company-wide priorities Builds the skills and develops the people needed to support the service delivery strategy at all levels of the organization This includes a holistic people and employee engagement strategy to attract and retain talent, and leverage of a comprehensive workforce planning model to deliver results and efficiencies Build a data-driven culture, leveraging advanced analytics and AI agents to generate actionable insights for strategic decision-making People Leadership: Manage a team of highly skilled individuals within the 5 functions. Managing performance, development, coaching and driving the team to success Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI) Drive the adoption of emerging technologies (AI, cloud, data analytics) to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency, ensuring that both the big picture and critical details are addressed throughout implementation You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
