JRI Singapore currently supports the overall IT functions of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) in Asia Pacific Region.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or equivalent with around 15 years of experience to provide IT service to Financial Institute.
  • Prior working experience as infrastructure solution architect role in multi-national banking company and solid understanding of MAS regulations.
  • Strong communication skills to build trust relationships and collaborate with multiple stakeholders from multiple countries and departments.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically, with proven success in implementing innovative solutions that enhance organizational performance.
  • Experience in conceptualizing scalable, resilient technical architecture solutions involving end to end integration between channels, systems, middleware, data warehouse etc. Experienced in architecting solutions with integration into commercial off the shelf product and cloud solutions are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in knowledge comprising system integration patterns, enterprise architecture, microservices architecture and cloud computing services.
  • Relevant certification in TOGAF and cloud solution architect or similar are highly desirable.
  • Having functional, development knowledge in at least one of the following technical domains:
  • Database: Azure SQL DB, Microsoft SQL DB, Oracle Database
  • Storage: Azure Storage, Files, SAN FC storage
  • Container: Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Red Hat OpenShift
  • IAM: Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Active Directory
  • Network: Azure NSG, Firewall, Proxy
  • Virtualization: Azure VM, Broadcom VCF/VVF, Nutanix AOS & AHV
  • People management skills covering recruit, appraisal, mentoring, coaching, and motivating the staff.

Responsibilities
  • Design and lead implementations for IT infrastructure solutions that align with organizational goals, meet stringent regulatory and security requirements for banking industry, ensure availability, scalability and performance.
  • Contribute to the organization strategy by planning the IT services which covers business demand analysis, technical architecture, etc. in each infrastructure service domain.
  • Work with global infrastructure architects to evaluate, identify solution, design, technical aspects and develop as strategic standards for implementation.
  • Proactively and innovatively develop and maintain the overall infrastructure technology landscape that guide regional and global rationalization direction.
  • Create and maintain engineering and architecture documents as standard references.
  • Communicate, collaborate and understand organization/business demands, application teams and branches expectation and way of working in order to design infrastructure platforms to be more effective, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals and fostering a culture of innovation.
  • Lead other system engineers and implementation engineers in further specific system design and implementation follow the approved high-level architecture.
  • Organize and orchestrate across the hybrid cloud infrastructure service domain (Cloud Platform, Storage and Server Platform, Network, Database and End User Services) including external vendor and offshore partner to encourage the best collaborations and bring the power of synergy.
  • Design physical and virtual platforms including OS, Database Servers, Application Servers, API, Network, and Monitoring.
  • Review current infrastructure conditions in regional office and branches to propose technological centralization and transformation following IT strategies.
