Business Function The Chief Operating Office (COO) provides strong governance, risk management, and operational excellence across the Bank. The function supports stable and scalable operations, drives productivity and quality, strengthens controls, and ensures consistent delivery across all client and business channels. Key Responsibilities The Team Manager of Securities Operations & Asset Servicing has end‑to‑end accountability for: Securities Settlement Operations (Trade settlements, cash & stock movements) Asset Servicing / Corporate Actions (entitlements, income, and event processing) across DBS Vickers Singapore and Consumer Banking (Share Margin Financing and Digiportfolio Solutions). This is a role responsible for front‑to‑back securities operations, covering execution, settlement, and post‑event servicing, with clear ownership over delivery, people, risk, and stakeholder outcomes. 1. Operations & Delivery Own and oversee end‑to‑end securities operations, from trade settlement through post‑settlement asset servicing. Ensure timely and accurate execution of settlement activities, corporate action and income entitlement processing. Ensure settlement efficiency, minimal fails, and effective exception management. Monitor settlement risks and funding positions Ensure correct interpretation of agent CA notifications and accurate system setup. Oversee entitlement calculations, allocations, and client reporting for CA. Provide guidance and escalation support for complex, high-risk, or time-critical events and client-impacting issues. Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, SLAs and regulatory requirements. 2. Team Leadership & People Management Lead, coach, and develop a team of Settlement and Corporate Actions officers. Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews. Identify training needs and build strong technical and operational capability within the team. Foster a strong risk-aware, disciplined, and service-oriented culture. 3. Risk Control & Quality Assurance Own operational risk and control standards for Settlement and Corporate Actions processes. Review reconciliations, exception reports, settlement fails and unresolved breaks. Proactively identify control gaps and implement corrective actions. Support audits, risk assessments, and issue remediation activities. 4. Stakeholder & Client Management Act as the key point of contact for internal stakeholders (e.g. Front Office, Finance, Technology, Compliance). Liaise with custodians, brokers, and counterparties to resolve exceptions or outstanding issues. Handle escalated client and business queries promptly and professionally. 5. Process Improvement & Change Support Drive process improvements, standardisation, and operational efficiency. Participate in system enhancements, UAT, and change initiatives affecting Settlement and Corporate Actions. Support implementation of new products, markets, or regulatory changes. Requirements Degree or Diploma holder with 8 years of relevant banking operations experience, preferably in Corporate Actions or Securities Operations. 2–3 years of people management or supervisory experience preferred. Strong understanding of corporate action events and post-trade operations. Solid control mindset with strong attention to detail. Able to perform under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Clear communicator with good stakeholder management skills. Proficient in MS Office applications.
