DESCRIPTION

The successful candidate’s primary responsibilities will be to lead and assume full responsibility for the Tax function of the elfc group.

  • The title and level of the position will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

Skills & Experience:

  • AITI, ACA or ACCA qualified.
  • 5+ years PQE in a tax role with substantial exposure to aviation leasing.
  • Proven technical knowledge of corporate tax.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Advanced MS skills (e.g. Word, Excel, PPT etc.).
  • US Tax experience desired.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the CFO and assuming responsibility for all aspects of the tax function including the following;

  • Ensuring full and timely compliance across all tax heads in relevant jurisdictions, including management of transfer pricing obligations.
  • Management of all internal and external tax reporting and accounting requirements.
  • Identification of international tax issues arising from deal related activity.
  • Review and negotiation of tax matters in transaction documentation.
  • Management of all corporate tax risk and liaison with broader group to ensure optimisation of tax structure.
  • Liaising with auditors (internal, external, revenue) and external advisors.
  • Support of broader Finance department and other departments, as required.
  • Stay up to date on any legislative changes, advising on impacts and leading implementation of any changes that are required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and controls.
  • Provide sound advice on matters such as corporate residency, permanent establishments or queries from the board.
  • Ad-hoc strategic project work.
