Description GCCA is looking for an experienced VPK teacher. Someone who is enthusiastic about their job and truly loves what they do. We offer a very team oriented environment at Gulf Coast Christian Academy. We have small intimate classrooms to prevent teacher burnout. Lesson planning is a team effort to help with the workload. Requirements Teachers must be proficient with FL Four Year Old Standards and able to teach to them. You will be responsible for: Cleaning your own classroom. Maintaining positive relationships and communication with GCCA families. Having materials for your lessons prepared. Having a positive mindset and encouraging contributions. Participating in trainings/continuing education. In order to teach in a VPK class: You must have your CDA as well as completed the new Early Literacy requirements. Also you must have completed the new FAST training. PUNCTUALITY and ATTENDANCE are a must. All candidates will need a background screening. CPR and first aid is required but can be obtained after start date. *Sign on bonus is available.

Responsibilities

The Lead Teacher will be responsible for teaching according to the FL Four Year Old Standards, which includes preparing materials, cleaning the classroom, and fostering positive communication with families. They must also participate in required trainings and maintain a positive, encouraging contribution to the team environment.
