Description

Twin City Staffing is seeking wafer fab process engineers with a focus on deposition and etch processes to join a semiconductor manufacturing team. This role involves hands-on work developing and optimizing thin film processes in a fast-paced production environment. Candidates should have a strong background in physics or engineering and a demonstrated interest in process engineering within a cleanroom or wafer fabrication setting.
Location: White Bear Lake, MN
Wage: $70,000 - $85,000 per year
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30am to 3:30pm

REQUIREMENTS OF THE WAFER FAB PROCESS ENGINEER:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience running semiconductor deposition equipment (evaporation, sputtering) and/or etching tools (RIE).
  • Strong understanding of process quality control and yield improvement methodologies.
  • Passion for developing and running thin film processes in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience working in a cleanroom environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with SPC (Statistical Process Control), FMEA, or other process improvement tools.
  • Knowledge of thin film materials and characterization techniques.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain semiconductor deposition equipment, including evaporation and sputtering systems.
  • Operate and optimize etch processes using RIE (Reactive Ion Etching) and other related tools.
  • Develop, document, and improve thin film deposition and etch process recipes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process development and improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze process data to maintain and improve device yield and process control (QC).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and process issues to minimize downtime and yield loss.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in production quality and throughput.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment within the wafer fab.
