  • Greeting and Seating:Welcoming guests, leading them to their tables, and providing menus.
  • Menu Knowledge:Familiarizing themselves with the menu, including daily specials and ingredients, to answer customer questions and offer recommendations.
  • Order Taking:Accurately taking food and drink orders, often using point-of-sale (POS) systems, and communicating them to the kitchen.
  • Customer Service:Attending to customer needs throughout their meal, including checking on satisfaction, addressing concerns, and providing additional items as needed.

Food & Beverage Service:

  • Serving Food and Drinks:Delivering orders to the correct tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
  • Table Maintenance:Clearing used dishes, glasses, and silverware, and resetting tables with fresh linens, cutlery, and condiments.

Financial Transactions & Other Responsibilities:

  • Handling Payments:Presenting bills, processing payments (cash or credit card), and providing change.
  • Maintaining Cleanliness:Ensuring the dining area is clean and organized, including tables, floors, and service stations.
  • Cooperating with Staff:Communicating effectively with kitchen staff and other servers to ensure smooth service.
  • Adhering to Regulations:Following health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling and hygiene practices.
