About the Role The Waiting List Officer is accountable for the management of patients on the Planned Surgery Waiting List from a clerical perspective within the guidelines of the Department of Health Planned Surgery Access Policy and across the entire continuum of care from placement on the waiting list to day of surgery. Receive and process waiting list forms from specialist clinics, private rooms and other areas of SVHM within stipulated time frame as per DHHS Elective Surgery Access Policy Accurately create, record and update the Waiting List Screen on Patient Administration System (PAS) as required Ensure all queries from patients and clinicians pertaining to clinical management are forwarded to Surgical Liaison Nurse Monitor Category 1 patients to ensure they are admitted within 30 days Monitor Category 2 and 3 patients to ensure timely access to surgery within category timeframe Classifications for this position will be HS1 - HS17 ($58,442 - $64,610 per annum) + over award ($4.4447 per hour) Your Contribution Relevant experience in administration in a healthcare role Experience with patient administration systems Working knowledge of Microsoft office including Outlook, Word and Excel Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain What we Offer Salary Packaging – Increase your take home pay! The PSMT is responsible for the case management all patients across the surgical specialties at SVHM.
