OVERVIEW

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Server to join our family licenced cafe/bar . As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, ensuring that our guests have a delightful experience. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Your ability to engage with customers and manage multiple tasks efficiently will be key to your success in this role.

SKILLS

  • Previous experience in the food service industry, particularly in restaurants or cafés, is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy shifts.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash accurately.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential.
  • Culinary experience or familiarity with food preparation techniques is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and seat customers in a friendly manner, providing menus and information about daily specials.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders. Training will be given in making coffee.
  • Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation meets our standards.
  • Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving change. Using an Epos till System
  • Maintain cleanliness of tables & dining areas.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines for handling food items.
  • Assist with inventory management by reporting low stock levels of supplies or ingredients.
