Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

This is one of several roles involved in the preparation and production of wholesome freshly cooked food for customers to the coffee shop in the Foyle Family Justice Centre. Working as part of a team you will support the cook and catering supervisor in the presentation of a professional and comprehensive food and beverage service to customers. You will work cooperatively with colleagues in schedules for cleaning and will assist with food preparation and service as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Service delivery.
    · Dealing with customers to the café serving food and drinks daily.
    · Ensuring that orders are fulfilled and taking payment from customers.
    · Ensuring that all food prepared is served in accordance with the advice of the catering supervisor.
    · Addressing in a professional manner any issues which are raised by customers with a view to resolving these.
    · Assisting with the preparation of some foods and drinks.
    · Contributing to the presentation of the café including the cleanliness and compliance with health and safety standards and with organisational policies.
  2. Training and development
    · Ensure your participation in any opportunities given to equip you to fulfil your role competently.
    · Follow diligently all health and safety protocols and comply with safe practices.
    · Identify any issues or concerns that you have in respect of your training needs and take part in any programmes or updates offered.
    · Prepare for and participate in your Performance Development Reviews (PDRs).
  3. Health and Safety
    · Contribute to the protocols for ensuring that the café will satisfy all internal and external scrutiny always maintaining a high level of cleanliness and safety.
  4. Confidentiality/Data Protection
    · Always adhere to the FWA Confidentiality and Data Protection Policies and Procedures.
  5. Public Relations
    · Ensure that your conduct contributes to maintaining good public relations between FWA and other agencies/stakeholders.
  6. Any Other Tasks
    · Such tasks that are requested as judged by your line manager to be within the job definition.
