Part-Time Supervisor/Shop Assistant

Location: Brighton and Hove, England, UK
Hours: Part-time, evenings and weekends required.
Commitment: We are looking for someone who can commit to at least one year of employment with us.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Part-Time Supervisor/Shop Assistant, you’ll play a dual role, supporting both our daily operations and our team. Your responsibilities will include:
Shop Assistant Duties:
* Customer Service: Greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately (in-person and over the phone), and processing payments efficiently.
* Food Preparation Support: Assisting with basic food prep tasks, such as preparing ingredients, boxing pizzas, and packaging orders for collection or delivery.
* Maintaining Cleanliness: Keeping the front-of-house area, counters, and customer waiting areas clean, tidy, and presentable at all times.
* Order Management: Ensuring orders are correctly assembled and ready for timely collection or dispatch.
* Stock Management: Helping to restock drinks, packaging, and other front-of-house supplies as needed.
Supervisor Duties:
* Team Support: Providing guidance and support to other shop assistants, especially during busy periods.
* Opening/Closing Procedures: Assisting with opening and/or closing the shop, including cash handling, till reconciliation, and securing the premises.
* Problem Solving: Handling customer inquiries or minor issues effectively and escalating complex matters to management when necessary.
* Quality Control: Ensuring high standards of food presentation and customer service are consistently met.
* Training : Occasionally assisting with the training of new team members on front-of-house procedures.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience: Solid previous experience in a customer service role, ideally within a food service or retail environment. Experience in a supervisory or leadership role is a plus.
* Availability: Must be available to work evenings and weekends. Flexibility is highly valued.
* Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and committed to your scheduled shifts.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
* Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
* Proactive Attitude: Eager to learn, take initiative, and contribute to a positive work environment.
* Physical Stamina: Able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights if required.
* Commitment: A strong commitment to working with us for at least one year.
