VACANCY:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Waking Night Support Worker to join our team in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan. You will play a crucial role in supporting and mentoring adults who live within our homes, helping them to navigate challenges and achieve their personal goals and chosen outcomes.
Our night team are there to ensure the safety and well-being of our clients throughout the night, supportingthem with their chosen night-time routines, reduce and manage any incidents, providing assistance should they wake and require support during the night. In addition, you will be required to maintain night time documentation and provide a thorough handover to the day shift.

Responsibilities
  • Build strong, positive, nurturing, professional relationships with our clients, offering emotional and practical support to make them feel safe and valued.
  • Help clients settle for bedtime and assist with their chosen morning routines.
  • Maintain a secure environment by conducting regular checks, being vigilant about their safety and well-being throughout the night.
  • Be there for clients who may wake during the night and provide calm, comforting support, to ease any concerns or worries they may have.
  • Support with activities of daily living and medication administration as required.
  • Empower and motivate our clients to achieve their goals and overcome any difficult emotions and behaviours.
  • Foster a positive, welcoming and supportive atmosphere within the home.
  • Maintain accurate records of all required documentation.
  • Work professionally with all professionals and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for the people in your care.
