Waking Night Hours: 8pm-7.30am
Average of 7 shifts over 2 weeks for a full time role, to include every other weekend. Usually 3 shifts / 4 shifts alternating weeks.
We may be able to consider part time - 2/3 shifts per week but cannot usually consider specific nights.

As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will be based in a friendly home, supporting Children who have a range of support needs.
The role involves working as part of a team towards supporting each child living within the home to feel safe, build on their strengths and encourage them to meet their potential. You will need stay alert and respond to a child that may need support overnight, with a special focus on safety. The post-holder needs to be able to work on their own initiative.
We are looking for staff who are kind, caring, resilient and able to support young people in all areas of their care.
· Remaining awake throughout the night to ensure the safety of our young people.
· Maintaining awareness of children’s movements and presence within the home overnight.
· Ensuring the home is safe and secure from unauthorised access
· Follow procedures for reporting concerns related to all aspects of safeguarding
· Act as a positive role model defining structures and boundaries of behaviour so the children understand appropriate and healthy behaviours
· Monitoring any concerns in relation to disturbed sleep patterns and follow relevant support plan designed to promote sleep and wellbeing.
· Provide personal care as required.
· Ensuring the home is clean and tidy throughout.
· Offer emotional support and care to young people when required throughout the night.
· Maintain detailed written records throughout the shift.
