We are seeking an experienced Wall & Floor Tiler to join our team located in Darley

REQUIREMENTS:

• Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiler .
• At least 2-3 years relevant experience as a Wall & Floor Tiler.

• Study plans and examine surface to be covered to determine amount of material needed
• Waterproofing application
• Seceding the shower base surfaces
• Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled, following plans
• Cut and shape tile to fit around obstacles and into odd spaces and corners, using hand and power cutting tools. Cut tile backing to required size, using shears. Install and anchor fixtures in designated positions, using hand tools
• Mix and apply mortar or cement to edges and ends of drain tiles to seal halves and joints.
• Prepare and apply tile adhesives, position the tile and press or tap with trowel handle to affix tile to base
• Install tile in a planned area and arrange tiles per design plans
• Determine and implement the best layout to achieve a desired pattern
• Align and straighten tile using levels, squares and straightedges
• Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural and floor designs
• Apply grout with a rubber trowel
• Clean and level the surface to be tiled. Remove any old tile, grout and adhesive using chisels and scrapers and clean the surface carefully
• Remove and replace cracked or damaged tile
• Finish and dress the joints and wipe excess grout from between tiles, using damp sponge and apply necessary finishes, such as sealants.
