JOB DESCRIPTION:

Required Qualifications:

• Clearance: Secret, TS/SCI desired
• Minimum of six (6) years experience supporting the engineering of Information Technology systems for a DoD or Government Agency.
• Ability to provide expert level knowledge in systems engineering and information technology.
• Ability to develop solutions across software and hardware to solve problems and implement enhancements.
• Ability to investigate and resolve issues that span multiple applications/technologies and require involvement from technical personnel across multiple organizations.
• Ability to develop and/or revise system designs and architectures to improve efficiency, stability, effectiveness, supportability, and sustainability.
• Bachelors of Science degree from an accredited university in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physical Science required. Other Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/training may be substituted for (i) four (4) additional years experience supporting the engineering of Information Technology systems for a DoD or Government Agency (for a total of ten (10) years).and (ii) three (3) years experience supporting the engineering of DoD Afloat Network systems (CANES, ADNS, ISNS, CENTRIXS, SCI Networks, SUBLAN, and/or COMPOSE).
• 3+ years of experience developing technical documentation
• Proven track record of performance in client facing roles that require engagement and relationship building with stakeholders across Navy programs, the DoD, or other federal agencies
• Experience with SDN/ SD-WAN Technologies and vendors including VMware, NSX-T, Cisco, Juniper, and open-source solutions
• Experience with network configuration for L2/L3 switches, routers, security appliances (firewalls, NIDS, NIPS, etc)
• Experience developing and documenting network topologies
• Experience in troubleshooting and restoring network and system outages
• Experience in virtualization technologies
• CCNP (or equivalent) certification

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with RF communications, specifically MILSATCOM or COMSATCOM technologies.
• Experience leveraging NetDevOps or DevSecOps to scale enterprise level engineering projects.
• Experience with Network Automation in Python, Ansible, NETCONF, and/or RESTCONF
• Experience modeling network configuration in JSON, YAML, or Jinja
• Experience developing and maturing complex, collaborative networking projects and working autonomously to move network development forward

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $135,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
