Ward Clerk, Band 2 (15 hours a week)

This might be just the opportunity you are searching for! We are expanding our ward clerk team and are looking to recruit a dynamic, organised and motivated person to provide exceptional ward clerk cover on our busy Maternity Ward. You will be joining us at an exciting time as we move forward with our digital agenda and as we look for innovative ways to improve our service. You will need to be flexible with excellent organisational, communication and IT skills. Previous administration experience in a customer facing role is preferred.
This is a pivotal role which requires someone who is able to work independently, multi task and is self-motivated, empathetic and resilient. You must be able to deliver a high standard of customer service and communicate effectively with patients and their carers/relatives in addition to all levels of staff across all departments, the multi-disciplinary teams, GPs and transport services. Previous NHS experience would be an advantage.
WORKING PATTERN:
15 Hours per week
Tuesday and Wednesday
0800-1600

Job purpose
To provide clerical and reception cover for the department, administration and clerical support to the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse and Nurse in Charge and to enter and maintain ward clinical data for a range of defined clinical systems.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
