POSITION SUMMARY The Ward Clerk supports the Director of Nursing and Unit Managers by coordinating admissions, maintaining resident records, organizing nursing station documentation, and ensuring accurate and timely record management throughout each resident's stay. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Admissions Coordinate the admission process, complete admission checklists, and assist with facility tours for prospective admissions. * During Resident Stay Maintain and organize resident medical records and nursing station charts. File clinical documentation, monitor physician orders, and prepare transfer/referral paperwork. Serve as a liaison between Nursing and other departments while maintaining resident confidentiality. Follow facility safety guidelines and emergency procedures. * Discharge Prepare discharge paperwork and assemble resident records in the appropriate discharge order. Perform other clerical and administrative duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS * Current CNA license required. * General office, filing, and record management skills. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Compassion for the elderly and strong attention to detail.
