Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Gold Coast Private Hospital are seeking an experienced Ward Clerk on a full-time basis to support our busy Orthopaedic Ward, Monday to Friday.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Welcome and assist patients, visitors, and staff, ensuring a friendly and professional first impression
  • Answer phone calls and handle inquiries with professionalism, empathy and confidentiality, directing them to the appropriate personnel as needed
  • Provide administrative support to the Nurse Unit Manager, including scheduling, correspondence, and coordination of meetings
  • Assist Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs) with administrative tasks, ensuring smooth operations and patient care
  • Accurately record and maintain patient data, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with hospital policies
  • Prepare and process all discharge paperwork, ensuring patients receive all necessary documentation promptly
