YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

To succeed in this role, you will be an effective and approachable administrative professional with a passion for client care and a high standard of customer-focused service in line with Ramsay’s core values.

Essential:

  • Excellent communication and high-level customer service and communication skills
  • Highly developed organisational skills
  • Demonstrated accurate data entry and strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to be flexible and take on additional shifts as requested
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)

Desirable:

  • Demonstrated minimum 1 year experience in a hospital/medical administrative position
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience with Meditech Patient Administrative System (PAS) or similar PAS
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record system CERNER or similar

Responsibilities

You will be passionate and enthusiastic about being in the front line working with our patients, their support networks and our staff team. You will have excellent customer service skills and enjoy a varied and fast paced administration role.

As a Ward Clerk for our Women’s Mental Health Service, you will be responsible for a broad range of administrative duties including:

  • Managing our busy reception desk, including answering calls and managing enquiries
  • Managing both electronic and paper based medical records
  • Maintaining accurate and effective record management systems
  • Support the ward staff with administrative requirements
  • Liaise with other departments and team members as required
  • Complete other clerical tasks as requested, such as data entry, scanning, preparing resources and welcome packs.
