Description

This job opportunity at Frimley Park Hospital’s Day Surgery Unit is for a Ward Clerk/Receptionist to support the administrative needs of a busy department. The role is part-time (30 hours per week) and requires someone who is dynamic and professional to assist with reception duties and clerical tasks.
General clerical and administrative duties
Managing and dealing with all telephone enquiries, new patients and visitors
Point of contact for all visitors to the unit
To maintain patient details on relevant electronic systems updating with necessary requirements such as porting requests
To manage and update the admission and discharge information system contemporaneously
Liaise with ward staff to resolve any problems
Liaise with other departments for example; Waiting list department, consultants secretaries, pharmacy, emergency department, transport, discharge lounge, site managers, porters etc
To provide administrative support to the nursing and medical staff as required
Make appointments as necessary
Ensure general tidiness of DSU Reception areas
To maintain a safe working environment
Assisting with audits as required, including data collection
Reporting of any estates issues via Planet FM and following up these requests
