Ward 5B is a 25 bedded Vascular unit . We take elective , emergency and level one vascular patients . We have an exciting opportunity for you to develop your skills and utilise skills you already possess. The team work closely with Allied Health Professionals and take a multi-disciplinary approach to care provision.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate and champion the Trusts behaviours and key values having knowledge to support the Dignity in Care Agenda.
A person who can work on their own initiative and as part of a team to provide an environment that focuses on the patient and their experience whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times. The ward clerk position is so important to a busy ward , as often being the first person our patient and relatives see so a cheery disposition and the ability to reassure people is also very essential .
You will be working closely with the nursing team and assist with referrals to social services, district nurses amongst others to provide an effective and timely discharge. Experience in using Medway and Trust paperwork is desirable, as you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective admissions and discharges of our patients.
5B requires a structured process to care delivery, therefore requires a calm individual whom can cope under pressure. This opportunity is especially exciting for someone who can provide clerical and administration support to the ward team and customer care to patients and visitors being at times the first port of call. An individual with excellent communication skills is essential. This role therefore requires a highly motivated individual who can use initiative, manage their time and work well in the team.
Pilgrim Hospital is situated beautiful countryside and serves the communities in the South Lincolnshire area. It provides all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service.
Grantham and District Hospital serves the communities of Grantham and the local area. It provides ambulatory paediatric and accident and emergency services.
Lincoln Hospital is a thriving university city and with the opening of the medical school, it provides all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service
United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust has been granted teaching hospital status, after demonstrating evidence to significant teaching commitment. From now on it will be known as United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) have come together in a Group arrangement, with the goal of improving the care provided to patients across the county.
This will not constitute a formal merger of the two organisations, but will bring the Trusts together under a single Board and Executive Leadership Team, with the goal of improving the care that is provided to patients both in the community and in hospitals across Lincolnshire. Both Trusts will retain their separate statutory names and legal obligations.
The Group will be known as Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group (LCHG).
