The services available in Lithgow hospital include Domiciliary care unit, Emergency department, Geriatric assessment unit, Obstetric services, Paediatric service, Drug and Alcohol unit.

• Demonstrate experience in cleaning practices and systems, within a health care setting or similar environment
• Able to meet the physical demands of the position as listed in the physical requirements in the position description.
• Able to demonstrate a reasonable understanding of Work Health & Safety. Ability to interpret and follow Material Safety Data sheets (MSD’s), Safe Work Practices sheets (SWP’s) and written instructions.
• Current Drivers Licence and willingness to use for work purposes across the LHD.
• Previous experience as a Wardsperson is not essential, however would be an advantageous.
• Previous experience in the care of patients / clients.
• Good verbal and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work Mornings, Evenings & Night duty shifts, across a 7 day week roster
