Description:

  • Monday to Friday 6.30am-2.00pm or 8.30am-5.00pm
  • Free, secure on site parking
  • $34.60 per hour casual rate
  • Port of Brisbane Location
  • Potential to lead to permanency
  • Must have own transport
    Located at the Port of Brisbane, the purpose of this position is to provide warehouse administrative support to the daily operations of a large company. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an ability to assist and encourage the use of Company processes and procedures including Quality systems and risk management framework to ensure major operational standards are effective, efficient and in accordance with our client’s way.

Responsibilities:

  • Uphold and lead by the organisational Mission statement, company objectives and promote this to all staff under your supervision
  • Data entry
  • Pallet documenting
  • Ensure company systems are updated and kept with accuracy
  • Ensure all instances of service failure or loss or damage to customer goods are actioned accordingly
  • Daily scanning, filing, and archiving of relevant documents
  • Provide support to any document requests internally and externally
  • Respond and assist with any queries relating to responsibilities
  • Provide support to reporting manager
  • Liaise with team to ensure Pallets are managed within the Company’s guidelines
  • Provide administrative support to allocations office
  • Discover operational inefficiencies and report to manager to improve service level

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Ability to build effective relationships, internally and externally
  • Ability to deal difficult customers
  • Excellent organisational skills and effective communication skills
  • Ability meet deadlines and handle pressure / customer demands
  • Self-managed, motivated, and energetic
  • Ability interact with different levels of management
  • Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills
  • Computer skills desirable: ability to use the computer for transport related systems and Microsoft applications such as Office 365, Excel & Word
  • Ability to work under pressure and still produce results
  • Ability to be agile and flexible
