JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Inventory Manager to oversee our inventory management processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in supply chain management, warehouse distribution, and inventory control. This role involves ensuring optimal stock levels, managing procurement activities, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency. The Inventory Manager will collaborate with various departments to align inventory strategies with overall business objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in supply chain management, warehouse management, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (such as AS400) and MRP systems for effective inventory control.
  • Familiarity with data mining techniques and supply chain analytics for informed decision-making.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful supplier management.
  • Experience in e-commerce operations is a plus, along with understanding retail management dynamics.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform financial modeling related to inventory costs.
  • Knowledge of SQL for data collection and analysis purposes is preferred.
  • Experience working with third-party logistics (3PL) providers is advantageous.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of inventory management, including purchasing, stocking, and order fulfillment.
  • Utilize data analysis skills to monitor inventory levels and forecast demand planning.
  • Implement warehouse management systems (WMS) to streamline operations and improve accuracy in inventory tracking.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify discrepancies in inventory and develop corrective actions.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality and cost-effective sourcing.
  • Analyze financial data related to inventory costs, pricing strategies, and procurement processes.
  • Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize shipping & receiving operations and materials handling.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency in warehouse operations.
  • Utilize data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau for reporting and analytics on inventory performance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards while managing heavy lifting tasks within the warehouse environment.
