WAREHOUSE AND LOGISTICS COORDINATOR | PERMANENT CONTRACT | £28,598 TO £31,022 PER ANNUM (SCALE F) | 37 HOURS PER WEEK | MILLENNIUM LIBRARY, NORWICH
We are looking for Warehouse and Logistics Co-ordinator in Adult Social Services to work within our specialist, award-winning, social work service catering for the support needs of people from abroad. This post will involve collecting furniture donations, furnishing and preparing properties including managing a small team of staff who help us to deliver a comprehensive support scheme in Norfolk. The post involves working with people from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures, and with both adults and children. You will have a wide range of skills to offer the team, including supporting vulnerable people in the community, working with other organisations in both the public and voluntary sector, able to think creatively, be well-organised with a positive outlook, able to prioritise effectively and able to work calmly under pressure and to tight timescales. Good IT, communication and networking skills are essential as you will be working with multiple organisations.
You will be working across Norfolk at multiple locations. Duties include line management of four staff members, site management of our warehouse, co-ordinating and planning visits in the community and ensuring the team is able to meet tight deadlines. You must hold a full GB driving licence, with experience of driving a long-wheelbase van, ideally with D1 category. Enhanced DBS clearance is required for this post. You will need to be able to use our Liquidlogic systems, SharePoint, Outlook, Excel and Word and other national databases.
Experience of working with migrants, refugees, asylum seekers, people from other cultures and confidence around using interpreters is essential, as is a positive, creative and non-judgmental approach. A knowledge of fleet management principles will be required to ensure the vehicles the team uses are compliant with the relevant legislation and local procedures.
