About the Role
This position is for someone who is organised, reliable and confident taking ownership of stock, purchasing and warehouse operations. Alongside the day to day role, you will help coordinate our move into a new warehouse and support the introduction of a new inventory management system across the business.
You will work closely with our installation, administration, and management teams to ensure every job has the correct equipment ready when needed.
Warehouse Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day running of the warehouse and coordinate warehouse workloads
- Order, receive, check and store panels, inverters, batteries and installation materials
- Maintain accurate stock levels and complete regular stock takes and reconciliations
- Prepare and allocate equipment for upcoming installation jobs
- Ensure installers have the correct materials available and ready on time
- Manage stock transfers, returns, faulty items, warranties and supplier credits
- Maintain an organised, safe and compliant warehouse
- Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve stock and job-readiness issues
- Provide clear stock, purchasing and warehouse updates to management
- Help plan and coordinate the move into our new warehouse
- Assist with the new warehouse layout, storage locations and stock labeling
- Oversee the safe transfer, stock take and reconciliation of inventory during the move
- Work with management and our technology partner to help set up and test the new inventory system
- Ensure stock information is accurate before the system goes live
- Support warehouse staff and installers as the new processes are introduced
- Identify practical issues and help improve the system once it is in use
About You
- Previous experience in warehouse management, inventory control or a similar hands-on role
- Current Forklift licence
- Strong understanding of purchasing, receiving, stock allocation and stock takes
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Confidence using warehouse, inventory or job-management software
- Comfortable learning a new system and helping others use it correctly
- A practical, solutions-focused approach and willingness to get involved
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work across different teams
- Experience in solar, electrical, construction or trade-based warehousing will be highly regarded
- A current driver’s licence and the physical ability to safely perform normal warehouse duties
