Job Description The role of the Warehouse and Shipping Assistant will be part of an effective Warehouse and Logistics team with an objective to create a safe and efficient warehousing environment. Receive, inspect and accurately record incoming shipments and materials Packing in accordance with shipping instructions given and local regulations globally. Maintaining shipping department consumables and raising purchase requisitions to ensure all vital items are readily available. Maintain a shared team email inbox by responding quickly with accurate information. Conduct measurements of products using specific equipment. Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet and pump trucks safely and efficiently. Picking and issuing internal material requisitions and transport tasks for internal demand. Ensuring storage of goods according to their storage conditions and EHS regulations. Maintain an accurate ERP system through the completion of transactions Conduct weekly cycle counts against agreed schedules. Assist international shipping activities, including arranging worldwide distribution of our temperature sensitive and dangerous goods products and facilitating daily collections with shipping partners. Maintain a safe, organised, and clean workspace. Oversee the cold storage areas and conduct defrosting cycles and temperature monitoring. Assisting in the production of the SOPs for the Warehouse department. Comply with all company, departmental, and regulatory policies and rules. Other administration and operations tasks as required from time to time to support the wider commercial team. Qualifications Essential) Strong attention to detail and high accuracy within administration and operational tasks. (Essential) Excellent organisational skills, and ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks. (Essential) Experience in warehousing and logistics. (Desirable) Experience of shipping temperature sensitive products and Dangerous Goods compliance. IATA certificate in Dangerous Goods shipping an advantage – although training will be provided (Essential) Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks to best support the business needs. (Essential) Good verbal and written communication standards to ensure clear lines of communication with internal and external stakeholders. (Essential) Good IT skills primarily with Microsoft Excel and Word. (Desirable) Experience using third party online shipping platforms an advantage. (Desirable) Experience with ERP systems (Essential) Team focused with a desire to support other team members when required to help the overall business function.
