POSITION SUMMARY

The Warehouse & Assembly Supervisor is responsible for managing and coordinating the daily operations of the warehouse and assembly departments within a sheet metal fabrication facility. This includes overseeing material handling, inventory control, assembly processes, and the timely preparation and execution of outgoing shipments. The role ensures that daily dispatch and delivery schedules are met, with a strong focus on efficiency, safety, quality, and on-time performance.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or technical degree in operations, logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or warehouse environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse logistics, inventory systems, and assembly processes.
  • Experience coordinating transportation logistics, dispatch planning, or outbound shipping operations.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Proficient in ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
Responsibilities

LEADERSHIP & ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES

  • Provide strong, hands-on leadership to warehouse and assembly staff through daily supervision and coaching.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, individual performance evaluations, and corrective action as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of production output, inventory levels, dispatch activities, and employee timekeeping.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
  • Ensure strict compliance with company policies, procedures, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
