SUMMARY
The Warehouse Assistant supports the efficient operation of the warehouse by assisting with the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. This role is essential for maintaining inventory accuracy, upholding health and safety standards, and ensuring timely order fulfillment. The Warehouse Assistant works collaboratively with the warehouse team to help achieve productivity targets and deliver excellent service.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software is a plus.
Forklift or equipment operation certification is advantageous.
Experience working in diverse teams

Receive, check, and accurately record incoming deliveries.
Store goods in designated locations, ensuring items are organized and accessible.
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch according to company procedures.
Assist with regular stock checks and inventory counts to maintain accuracy.
Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) safely and responsibly.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in line with health and safety regulations.
Report any inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or safety hazards to supervisors.
Support the warehouse team with general tasks and collaborate to meet daily targets.
Follow company policies and procedures for handling goods and equipment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar environment is preferred but not required.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Basic numeracy and attention to detail for accurate inventory handling.
Physically fit and able to lift and move goods as required.
Willingness to learn and operate warehouse equipment (training provided).
