Our logistics department has a well matured and dynamic position opening for a new colleague to join our team as Warehouse Assistant. This role will be based in our production site in Delft, Netherlands and will start on a temporary basis (one-year contract).
In this role you are responsible for the incoming and outgoing of materials, instruments or equipment to meet customer expectations regarding receipt and inventory/material control. The Warehouse Assistant is receiving or preparing materials to process internal work orders. He/She performs a wide variety of planning, scheduling, coordination and reporting tasks to support production workflow. This role also coordinates and monitors workflow, assists in planning and prioritizing activities in the assigned distribution area.
As Warehouse Assistant you should display excellent multitasking abilities.

THE ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB INCLUDE:

  • Proven work experience as a warehouse employee or a similar role in the logistics department
  • Use of or familiarity with measuring tools or inspection instruments;
  • Ability to lift heavy objects;
  • Some affiliates or willing to develop the ability to perform quality inspections on suppliers provided materials for damage, defects or deviations according to predefined specifications/technical drawings.
  • Good communication skills, preferable in Dutch and English
  • Basic Knowledge in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

In this role you will have the responsibility for receiving and process incoming supplies and materials, pick and fill orders from stock, manage, organize and retrieve stock from the warehouse.

  • Prepare and pick work orders for the production plant or pick-up for customers on schedule;
  • Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store).
  • Stock-count
  • Monitoring and maintaining accuracy of data entered in our ERP system
  • Allign and communicate with stakeholders such as but not limited to: Procurement, Production, Planning as well as Logistics service providers
