Savana Environmental specialise in Hazardous Waste Management and Removal in Perth, Western Australia. We provide a wide range of asbestos inspection and removal related services throughout Western Australia, from decontamination and encapsulation, refurbishment and demolitions, air monitoring and building surveys (management). We hold an unrestricted asbestos removal licence issued by WorkSafe for the removal of all forms of asbestos throughout Western Australia. Savana Environmental is also accredited by the IICRC for restoration services, including mould remediation.
Our friendly Perth team requires the services of a Yard Hand with mechanical experience to meet industry demand and support our busy team. The work will primarily take place in our busy warehouse in Bibra Lake.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Preferably 1 year experience in warehouse assistance or equivalent.
• A current unrestricted driver’s license is required.
• Holder of a White Card is preferable.
• Have a strong work ethic and be a reliable team-player.
• Have a demonstrated and consistent commitment to safety policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and demonstrated attention to detail.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Are you a hands-on individual with experience in yard operations, mechanical tasks, forklift operation, and stocktaking? We are looking for a motivated and reliable Yard Hand to join our team at Savana Environmental. We can offer you flexible hours to suit your schedule and provide you with Forklift Operation training and the associated ticket if needed. If you have the skills to help maintain a smooth-running warehouse, assist with mechanical repairs, manage stock, and operate machinery, we want to hear from you!

DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Assist with general yard duties, including organizing and maintaining the yard and equipment.
• Moving boxes and other equipment, may require heavy lifting.
• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load, unload, and move materials.
• Conduct regular stock takes and assist with inventory management, ensuring accurate records are kept.
• Assist with the delivery and receipt of goods, ensuring proper storage and organization.
• Ensure a safe and clean working environment, adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
• Work closely with colleagues to maintain a safe workplace by participating in safety, toolbox and other meetings as required.
• Be willing to undertake any other duties within your competence, skill, qualifications, and experience, as directed, to support the successful operation of the workshop.
