Job Description The Warehouse Worker role will assist the Branch Manager and Operations Manager for the Riverside Branch. The Warehouse Worker is responsible for performing tasks involving physical labor at the yards and/or projects. They will operate a company vehicle while making product deliveries as well as a variety of hand and power tools, clean and prepare yards or sites, clean up rubble and debris and remove waste materials. They may also assist in road sign fabrication. • Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in construction yards/ projects; perform manual work in preparing equipment or vehicles for use • Make deliveries as needed • Stage appropriate equipment with product and backup supply • Conduct preventative maintenance as recommended on all equipment • Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards • Material handling and storage • Support the daily maintenance of all vehicles (filled with fuel, fluids inspected and topped, appropriate tire pressure) • Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials • Material Delivery to jobsites • Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Bring problems to the attention of the Supervisor/Foreman, Branch Manager or Operations Manager • Receive all inbound material and provide counts and documentation to Warehouse Supervisor, Branch Manager and Operations Manager • May assist with front counter • Perform all other duties as assigned Qualifications 1-2 years of warehouse experience preferred Being able to continuously lift up to 50lbs required Valid Drivers License required Being able to stand/walk on your feet for a prolonged period of time required Some knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in heavy/highway construction work Forklift Certified preferred, but not required Experience with pickup truck towing trailers preferred Some knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions Ability to follow multiple instructions Organized and self-motivated Making road signs from time to time, computer experience will be helpful The hiring range for this position is $20-23 per hour. The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
