Description Job Summary/Job Purpose: The Warehouse Specialist I is responsible for all receiving, unloading, and shipping functions within the warehouse. They are accountable for verifying materials are received correctly and to ensure incoming materials are inspected for damages, defects, and shortages. Job Duties / Essential Functions: Receives, stores, and distributes material, equipment, and projects within the warehouse. Verify the incoming supplies, materials, and equipment items ordered match what was received. Inspects incoming and outgoing shipments for damage, defects, shortages,expiration dates and overages and notifies warehouse supervisor or lead of each occurrence. Uncrates, inspects, and assembles equipment. Prepares and stages orders for delivery, ensuring all items match the order request. All other duties assigned. Requirements Skills / Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Ability to operate warehouse vehicles such as forklifts Strong attention to detail Ability to follow verbal instructions Basic math knowledge Great organizational skills Physical Requirements / Working Conditions: These are physical and mental requirements of the position as it is typically performed.
