Description
POSITION OBJECTIVES: Manages the allocation, routing, tracing and distribution of materials via the delegation of responsibility and authority. Plans, directs, and oversees the activities pertaining to all warehouse operations including receiving, distribution, order picking, packing and shipping of materials. Partners with manufacturing, sales and customer service to assure production schedules and commitments to internal and external customers are consistently met. ·    Identify parts to be put away ·    Operate gas and electric powered forklifts. ·    Pick up and deliver work orders. ·    Maintain warehouse premises so that it is safe and organized. ·    Transport material to and from departments. ·    Operate a computer terminal, as well as, a variety of hand tools/ banding machines, pallet jacks, and box dolly. ·    Understand and comply in accordance with ISO procedures. ·    Identify damage and loss of materials stored in the warehouse. ·    Load and unload trucks ·    Operate a computer terminal ·    Understand inventory flow process. ·    Communicate effectively both orally and in writing ·    Basic knowledge of MS-Word, Excel, and Outlook. QUALIFICATIONS: ·    High school diploma is required. ·    Requires 1 year experience with warehouse management systems. ·    Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, detailed correspondence and memos. Ability to write detailed correspondence. ·    Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, vendors and other employees of the organization. ·    Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. ·    Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. ·    Ability to calculate and interpret financial measures such as percentages, margins, ratios and other comparative statistics. ·    Must be able to interpret graphs and other visual representations used to present data. ·    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. ·    Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
